Single Women Connected · Create & Thrive
Her next chapter
starts with connection.
She gives so much to the people she loves. Her dreams deserve space, too. Little Lights CIC wants to help single women, including mothers, build confidence, find connection and explore opportunities for themselves and their families.
Big dreams need room to grow.
At Little Lights, we recognise the love, strength and everyday sacrifices of mothers raising their children. We see the responsibilities they carry, the needs they put before their own and the dreams they sometimes set aside to keep their families going.
Behind those responsibilities is a woman with talents, ideas and hopes of her own. She deserves to be valued for who she is, to feel supported and to have opportunities to learn, grow and shape her future.
For a mother, a new skill, a useful connection or the chance to develop an idea can also be a step towards the life she hopes to give her children: more security, more possibilities and room for their dreams to grow alongside hers.
Single Women Connected is the project Little Lights is developing to help make those next steps possible. We want single women, including mothers, to find a welcoming community where they can share experiences, explore work and business ideas, and feel encouraged to begin.
She has spent so much time showing up for others. Together, we can show up for her.
Connect. Create. Thrive.
We want to combine the warmth of a community gathering with practical opportunities to learn, collaborate and make women’s talents visible.
- Meet women who understand.
Friendly networking and shared activities to build supportive connections and reduce isolation. - Give ideas a place to grow.
Workshops and conversations about confidence, digital skills, promoting a small business and taking practical first steps. - Show what you can do.
Opportunities at planned community events to introduce a business, display products or services and explore sales and collaborations. - Learn from people with experience.
Mentoring, skill-sharing and connections with business support or employment guidance, depending on the partners involved.
We bring the community. Let’s build the opportunity.
Little Lights contributes its community connections, outreach, promotion and project coordination. We will work with women’s interests and the resources available to shape each event.
- People and connections
Inviting participants, engaging volunteers and bringing together women, mentors and potential collaborators. - Planning and coordination
Organising the event programme, participant communication and practical arrangements. - Marketing and visibility
Promoting activities through our community channels and helping participating women share what they offer. - Listening and follow-up
Gathering feedback, understanding access needs and helping women identify useful next steps.
This is a developing project. Activities and dates will be confirmed once funding, resources and delivery partners are agreed.

Small connections. New possibilities.
We want women to feel more connected, recognise their strengths and gain the confidence and practical knowledge to take a next step that matters to them.
What difference do we want to make?
Stronger support networks, greater confidence, opportunities to learn and more visibility for women’s skills and businesses. Progress may begin with meeting a mentor, learning a new tool, displaying a product or making a useful connection.
What makes the Little Lights approach special?
We bring social connection and practical opportunity into the same welcoming space. Women can meet others, share what they already know and explore new possibilities with support. Participants’ interests will help shape the activities.
How will we understand the impact?
We plan to track participation and gather feedback on confidence, connections and useful next steps. For funded activities, we can agree progress updates with supporters. Business income and employment outcomes are not guaranteed.
Can my business or organisation get involved?
Yes. You could help fund an event, offer a venue, contribute materials, lead a workshop or provide mentoring. Contact us to discuss a role that suits your expertise and the needs of the women taking part.
Be part of her next chapter.
Your kindness can help a woman make space for her future. For a mother, that opportunity can also mean new possibilities for her children. Everyone is welcome to support Little Lights: give an amount that feels right for you, share your skills or help provide the resources that make these connections possible.
