At Little Lights CIC, we are laying the foundations for long-term, transformative impact in Selly Oak and beyond.
Though our café is still in development, we’ve already begun making a difference — offering hands-on workshops, building partnerships, and listening closely to the needs of our community.
Our vision is simple: to create a space where every young person feels safe, seen and supported — through food, skills and connection.
What We’ve Achieved So Far:
Funding applications and community support secured to bring the café to life in 2025.
Pilot workshops in baking, barista and fermentation skills delivered to young people.
Nutritious meals provided to children and families through partner organisations.
Strategic partnerships built with local charities, councils and supporters.
Outreach and engagement with vulnerable youth to design programmes that work for them.
What´s Next:
With your support, we’re building a social café that will:
- Train vulnerable young people in baking, barista and hospitality skills.
- Offer free and low-cost meals to those facing food poverty.
- Provide safe spaces for healing, connection and growth.
- Generate income to fund free activities, mentoring and mental health support.
We may be at the beginning — but the light is already shining.
