Making a Difference, One Child at a Time

Our Impact
In just one year, Little Lights CIC has delivered meaningful impact across Birmingham through pop-up programmes, workshops, partnerships and wellbeing activities — even without a permanent physical space.
Our impact is practical and people-centred: we create safe, welcoming opportunities that build confidence, skills and hope — while strengthening community connection across Birmingham.

What Our Impact Looks Like
Our impact is grounded in real, practical support for children and young people. Through hands-on activities, training sessions, community events and food-based support, we help build confidence, skills and hope.
- Providing baking and hospitality workshops for children and young people
- Offering wellbeing and confidence-building activities
- Delivering meals and food support through community collaborations
- Running pop-up events and community markets across Birmingham
- Partnering with local organisations to support families facing hardship
Outcomes We See
Young people feel seen, supported and safer to engage — reducing isolation and strengthening positive routines.
Practical training builds employability skills, self-care habits and clearer next steps into education, training or work.
Community Partnerships
Collaboration is at the heart of our work. We partner with local charities, community groups and organisers to reach more young people and deliver support where it’s needed most.
These partnerships allow us to grow our reach, strengthen community bonds and offer more diverse opportunities — creating a stronger safety net around young people and families.
Why a Permanent Space Matters
While our outreach and pop-up programmes have created a strong foundation, securing a permanent space in Birmingham will allow us to expand services and create a safe, stable environment for young people.
This is why we are developing the Little Lights Young Futures Hub — a dedicated community youth space that combines enterprise, wellbeing and long-term support under one roof.
- Hospitality-based apprenticeship pathways and employability support
- Consistent mentoring, check-ins and confidence-building programmes
- Wellbeing and self-care workshops with practical life direction
- A safe community space that reduces isolation and improves stability
- A sustainable model that reinvests into youth development
Thank you for helping us build brighter futures in Birmingham — one skill, one safe space, one life at a time.
